Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas will open a second resort on Sir Bani Yas Island next week.
The Al Yamm Villa Resort comprises 30 villas – 16 of which are located on the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea, with another 14 facing a lagoon with mangroves – and has been developed by Tourism Development & Investment Company to offer travellers a more “exclusive and intimate island atmosphere”.
Al Yamm means the sea and was inspired by the dwellings of the fishermen and pearl divers who lived on the island seasonally.
"With the latest resort addition, the island is now becoming a destination within the destination of Abu Dhabi on an emirate scale and within the UAE on a national scale. We are confident that the Anantara Al Yamm Villa Resort will maintain Sir Bani Yas Island's position as a five-star destination for adventure as well as beach front seclusion," said Steven Phillips, the general manager of Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara and Anantara Al Yamm Villa Resort, both on Sir Bani Yas Island.
Al Yamm opens on July 1
