Residents of Al Nakheel, in Ajman, have started to receive their share of Dh52 million compensation awarded to them as a result of properties being affected by construction relating to the emirate’s urban development plan.

The Department of Financial Affairs began issuing compensation cheques to the owners for the development work being carried out by the Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning, the state news agency Wam reported.

The damages were approved last month by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ruler of Ajman.
