Omniyat to debut Dorchester hotel brand in Dubai

First project will be a five-star hotel and residences at Marasi Business Bay in Dubai Downtown

Omniyat, a UAE-based private property developer, and Dorchester Collection, which is owned by the sovereign weatlh fund Brunei Investment Agency and manages the Dorchester Hotel in London, will launch the brand in Dubai.

"The collaboration between the Dubai-based high-end developer and the luxury hospitality brand is a long-term agreement that will be rolled out in the coming years," Omniyat said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Dubai property will be Dorchester's first in the Middle East and Asia region, and more details are to be unveiled in the coming weeks, said Omniyat. The first Dorchester Collection-branded property will be a five-star hotel and luxury serviced residences at the Marasi Business Bay development in Downtown Dubai, close to Dubai Canal. Marasi Business Bay is under construction at present by the real estate arm of Dubai Holding, the ruler of Dubai's investment company.
