iPhone 7 Plus vs Samsung S7 Edge vs iPhone 6: Cameras put to the test in the UAE

“The iPhone 7 did fairly well compared to the iPhone 6 in most instances and of course was sharper by quite a bit in many situations because of the advances in the camera’s larger size but surprisingly not as good as I thought it would in some of the night shots because of the blown out highlights.” Delores Johnson / The National

If I personally was in the market to upgrade my current iPhone, I would wait because using my camera phone for social media, etc would not warrant an upgrade. If I was going to be printing out the images and going for a larger printout option AND specifically wanted an iPhone, than yes, it would be worth the upgrade. The two reigning smartphone makers, Apple and Samsung, have both touted the cameras on their newest phones as one of the top selling points. So who has the better camera?

The National photographer Delores Johnson tested both phones side-by-side, with an iPhone 6 for comparison.
