Flynas boosts existing Airbus order with 10 more A321s

The modification of the order pushes its value to more than $10bn

Saudi Arabia's budget airline Flynas increased an existing plane order with Airbus with the purchase of an additional 10 long-range A321 aircraft, the A321XLR, as the company seeks to expand its route network.

The modification of the previous order pushes its value to more than $10 billion (Dh36.7bn) at list prices from $8bn, the airline said.

Flynas, which is partly owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal’s Kingdom Holding, operates a fleet of 30 A320ceos and 2 A320neos. Since 2007, it has embarked on a strategy to expand network and passenger capacity and service more long-haul destinations.

In 2018, Flynas carried around 6.6 million passengers on 60,000 domestic and international flights.
