Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Adia), one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, said that it has hired Garry Beaton as global head of operations, a newly created role within the fund.
Mr Beaton joins Adia from Ashmore Group, where he was the global head of operations at the emerging market specialist investment firm and based in London.
Before that, Mr Beaton worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Bangalore for seven years. The appointment takes effect immediately, Adia said.
“Garry is a welcome addition to the department as we continuously refine and enhance our operational capabilities at Adia,” said Mohamed Darwish Al Khoori, executive director of Adia’s operations department.
