Take That are coming to Dubai.
The veteran British boy-band will perform at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on October 30.
The announcement shows bandleader Gary Barlow has come good on his promise, made on the same stage during his solo concert last year, to bring the group the next time he returns to Dubai.
Responsible for the hits Back For Good and Patience, Take That is one of the UK's most successful acts, with 15 chart topping singles to their name. They will make their Middle East concert debut on the back of their new album III. Released last year, the seventh album is their first recorded as a three-piece, following departures of pop-star Robbie Williams and Jason Orange.
Despite the formation change — the band now consists of Barlow and co-vocalists Howard Donald, and Mark Owen — the album continued Take That's hit-streak with lead single These Days also landing on the top slot of the UK singles charts.
In a statement released by promoters Done Events, Take That is promising Dubai a stellar show.
“We’ve always been very proud of our live shows and are very excited about performing in Dubai for the first time,” they said. “Playing live is something we love the most about what we do and we’re looking forward to putting on the most amazing show we can. We hope to see you there.”
The show also marks Barlow’s return to Dubai. A frequent visitor to the UAE, he described the Emirate as a favourite holiday destination.
"I came to Dubai nearly 20 times with my family for holidays, so to come back and perform this time is great," he told The National before his UAE solo show last October. "I am going to take plenty of photos and document everything and bring it back to the boys in order to have the whole group back here next year."
