Rao announces five new films for 2013
Dasari Narayana Rao will direct five Telugu films this year, including one in which he will also act. "[The first film] will begin production on May 4, coinciding with my birthday," said the veteran filmmaker and politician. "I will also play the lead role in Vaddi Kaasula Vaadu, a political satire." Ravichander ropes in London-based R&B singer
Arjun Coomaraswamy has been roped in by the Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander to perform a track in the forthcoming romantic-comedy Vanakkam Chennai. Known by his stage name Arjun, the London-based R&B singer is popular for his cover track Why This Kolaveri Di. "Vanakkam Chennai, my next film, will have a song featuring the highly talented Arjun," tweeted Ravichander. Directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, Vanakkam Chennai stars Priya Anand and Rahul Ravindran. – IANS
