Usher and Pepsi are gearing up for an interstellar collaboration.
The pop-star and beverage manufacture will work on a short-film using UrtheCast, a full colour high definition video system used on the International Space Staton.
Aspiring photographers are invited to contribute to the project by submitting a maximum of one photo each day to PepsiChallenge.com; the best of which will be chosen by Usher, after which the photographers will be flown over to the upcoming film shoot. The last day for submissions is June 2.
Filming will take place in more than 10 countries across four continents with thousands of people coming together to be shot with UrtheCast’s cutting edge lens. There will also be images shot from multiple locations and perspectives from Earth andin space.
“Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of some truly amazing experiences,” Usher said in a statement.
“I’ve always tried to push boundaries and to inspire others to go beyond what they perceive as their limits. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with Pepsi and UrtheCast to be a part of creating this intergalactic short film shot from space and am excited to jump in and take on this once-in-a-lifetime challenge and experience.”
