This year's Formula One Grand Prix is turning out to be about fast cars in more ways than one. On Friday night the Furious 7 movie star and R&B singer Tyrese Gibson was offered up use of 30 custom-made rolls royces for the making of the next Fast and Furious film.

Gibson received the grand gesture from flamboyant Chinese businessman Stephen Hung, who offered his prize collection of luxury cars to Gibson on the red carpet at a private charity event.

Hung’s customized Rolls Royce Phantoms had been snapped up by Hung for US$20 million last September, in what Rolls Royce company then described as “the world’s single largest order of Rolls Royces ever.”

Hung’s fleet, which can go from zero to 60mph in 5.8 seconds, were not for the Chinese billionaire’s personal pleasure - he already reportedly has a white-and-gold Rolls-Royce Phantom, a white Ferrari, a bright orange Lamborghini Aventador, and several Bentleys - but for the millionaires that will frequent the casino resort he’s built in Macao, called Louis XIII. Gibson described Hung as: “a pure forward thinking genius of our town… He’s literally blowing people away with his forward thinking creativity.”

Gibson went on to write: “Tonight he did a big reveal - he said to me “TYRESE I want you to drive my custom Rolls in Fast 8”.... I would be honored sir!!!”

Gibson is now on his way back to America, after sharing the adventures of his F1 weekend with his fans on social media. On Thanksgiving (Thursday), Gibson posted video of himself in a helicopter about to touch down “at a private party on a private island”.

Gibson’s overnight pad on Friday night was a yacht of epic proportions – “Just woke up... I guess we can call this my waterbed ahahahaaaa..... I slept on this mega yacht last night, 30 rooms and 5 private suites- I woke up to formula 1 cars roaring... #AbuDhabi yup..... A different kind of life........ My “access” is never taken for granted.”
