The Star Wars "big three" – Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill – were all in London last weekend, at the same time that J J Abrams's first film in the new Star Wars trilogy began shooting at Pinewood Studios. Coincidence?

We think not. While the cast has not been named yet, the three actors have been dropping veiled hints that their return is imminent. Here's their clue trail: Fisher tweeted about her time in London, "So my do dog Gary has been spotted in London, but apparently without me. Who has he been seeing? Let me know if you have any clues."

The actor Peter Serafinowicz took to Twitter to say this about Hamill: "Met up with @HamillHimself in London today. I wonder why he's here."

Then there was Hans Solo, who was spotted dining at London's Hakkasan restaurant. The Disney chief Alan Horn, who confirmed last week that some filming was done in Abu Dhabi after The National broke the story, said that the full cast would be announced soon. All we can say is: May the fourth be with you.
