Simon Cowell and Howard Stern top television highest earning list

Television talent shows remains a big business with two judges tied for first place as the highest paid personality on U.S television.

Released last Thursday, Forbes.com's annual list had the acid tongued X Factor judge Simon Cowell and America’s Got Talent juror Howard Stern both earning $95 million (Dh349 million) each for the year up to June 2013.

Coming at third place is conservative talk show host Glen Beck with $90 million (Dh330 million).

Talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres made the top 10 this year, her $56 million (Dh205 million) landed her at ninth spot. Judge Judy Sheindlin rounded off the list with $47 million (Dh173 million) from her hit show Judge Judy.
