Khan posted a photo of himself on Twitter on Tuesday, a moustache-less, gritty, bloodied look from the wrestling ring. A day before Khan’s reveal, the official Twitter account for the film released another photograph of a clean-shaven Khan, announcing the movie’s Eid release date. To prepare for the role, international action director Larnell Stoval trained Salman intensively in wrestling and mixed martial arts. — Sonali Kokra <strong>Govinda pays fan as apology in 2008 slap case</strong> Bollywood actor Govinda has obeyed the Supreme Court’s ruling in a seven-year-old case and offered a fan, Santosh Rai, Rs5 lakhs as unconditional apology for slapping him in 2008. The case was filed by Rai in Mumbai High Court in February 2009, but it was quashed, after which he appealed to the Supreme Court. On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Rai, rejecting Govinda’s counsel’s claim that the video of Govinda slapping Rai that had been submitted as evidence had been doctored. Govinda was ordered to apologise to Rai or face criminal assault charges. While the exact reason for the fight is not known, sources close to the actor said that he had slapped Rai because he was misbehaving with women on the set of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. — Sonali Kokra <strong>Megan Fox joins cast of New Girl</strong> Megan Fox was revealed as <em>New Girl</em>'s latest cast addition in Tuesday's episode, taking on a temporary role in the show while star Zooey Deschanel is off on maternity leave. Deschanel's character Jess' absence from the show has been explained by having her sequestered for jury duty, and on Tuesday her flatmates decided to rent out her room to new character Reagan, played by <em>Transformers</em> and <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles</em> star Fox. The new project is based on HG Wells’ novel, which was adapted into the 1933 black-and-white classic starring Claude Rains. Like most of Universal’s monster movies, the story is tinged with tragedy. In the original, Rains played a chemist who uses a dangerous drug to turn invisible. The transformation leaves him jealous, paranoid and psychotic. The movie spawned several sequels. Universal is in the process of rebooting its library of monster classics. Titled <em>Fan: The Game</em>, it revolves around the journey of an ardent fan and the challenges he encounters in trying to meet the superstar he idolises. West took to Twitter on Tuesday to proclaim “Bill Cosby innocent!” The rapper didn’t offer any explanation for his verdict, and quickly moved on to tweet about Nike and Puma trainers.
