Paris Hilton to DJ at new Abu Dhabi club launch

Critics begone – Paris Hilton might be the most-ridiculed celebrity DJ on the planet, but she’s keeping at it.

Nearly three years have passed since her notorious DJ debut/meltdown in Sao Paolo – during which she famously tried to sing her own track over a Rihanna song – and despite high-profile detractors such as Paul Oakenfold and Afrojack, Paris persists. And we can only presume, is getting better at this music malarkey.

Find out for yourself when she visits the capital on Thursday April 30 to play the launch of new nightclub, Legends – a venue which is clearly making commendable efforts to stand out from Abu Dhabi’s legions of competing underground dance dens, by booking a credible name for a change.

In fairness to Paris, while hardly an exercise in blue sky thinking, her hit-heavy set at the launch of Clé Dubai last October went off pretty much without a hitch.

Maybe because – techheads' newsflash! – Hilton has recently switched from mixing software Serato to Traktor Kontrol S8,as she proudly told us at the time. That must have been the problem all along.

Legends launches on April 30 at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort Call 02 697 0358 or email info@legendsabudhabi.com for more.
