MEFCC 2016 has announced its second tranche of guests for this year’s event, which takes place from April 7-9 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Joining the guests who have already been announced, including Back to the Future's Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown) and Spiderman creator Stan Lee, are Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, aka Jamie Lannister, aka The Kingslayer. The visit is a timely one with the new season of Game of Thrones set to launch on April 24.
Also meeting and greeting fans will be WWE star Randy Orton. The multi-championship winner will be signing autographs and inviting fans to take part in their very own ‘walk on’ at the WWE stand.
Summer Glau, best known for her roles as River Tam from Firefly/Serenity, Cameron from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and the ruthless Isabel Rochev from Arrow will be in attendance too, while from the art side of the spectrum, both street art and fashion brand tokidoki founder Simon Legno, and Image Comics founder Whilce Portacio will be at the show. Portacio is also well-known for his art work on comics including Iron Man and The Punisher.
The organisers also report that all the exhibition space at this year's show has sold out, while Early Bird tickets sold out within a week. Regular price VIP, 3-day, and single day passes are still available. Visit www.mefcc.com for tickets and latest line-up updates.

How to come clean about financial infidelity
- Be honest and transparent: It is always better to own up than be found out. Tell your partner everything they want to know. Show remorse. Inform them of the extent of the situation so they know what they are dealing with.
- Work on yourself: Be honest with yourself and your partner and figure out why you did it. Don’t be ashamed to ask for professional help.
- Give it time: Like any breach of trust, it requires time to rebuild. So be consistent, communicate often and be patient with your partner and yourself.
- Discuss your financial situation regularly: Ensure your spouse is involved in financial matters and decisions. Your ability to consistently follow through with what you say you are going to do when it comes to money can make all the difference in your partner’s willingness to trust you again.
- Work on a plan to resolve the problem together: If there is a lot of debt, for example, create a budget and financial plan together and ensure your partner is fully informed, involved and supported.

How will Gen Alpha invest?
Mark Chahwan, co-founder and chief executive of robo-advisory firm Sarwa, forecasts that Generation Alpha (born between 2010 and 2024) will start investing in their teenage years and therefore benefit from compound interest.
“Technology and education should be the main drivers to make this happen, whether it’s investing in a few clicks or their schools/parents stepping up their personal finance education skills,” he adds.
Mr Chahwan says younger generations have a higher capacity to take on risk, but for some their appetite can be more cautious because they are investing for the first time. “Schools still do not teach personal finance and stock market investing, so a lot of the learning journey can feel daunting and intimidating,” he says.
He advises millennials to not always start with an aggressive portfolio even if they can afford to take risks. “We always advise to work your way up to your risk capacity, that way you experience volatility and get used to it. Given the higher risk capacity for the younger generations, stocks are a favourite,” says Mr Chahwan.
Highlighting the role technology has played in encouraging millennials and Gen Z to invest, he says: “They were often excluded, but with lower account minimums ... a customer with $1,000 [Dh3,672] in their account has their money working for them just as hard as the portfolio of a high get-worth individual.”
