New trailer released to mark 1,000 weeks of DDLJ

Yash Raj Films has put out an "official new" trailer of the 1995 romantic blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge to mark 19 years since the film was released on December 12.

The 2.13-minute montage features popular scenes – a lot like a super-condensed version of the movie, from the time the lead pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol first cross paths on their travels to the classic train shot when Khan grasps Kajol’s hand and pulls her on to the train as it’s chugging out of the station.

And yes, of course they’ve included the supremely funny scene where SRK tries to curry favour with Kajol’s father (played with superb disdain by the late Amrish Puri) while trying to keep his lungi (sarong) from unravelling and feeding pigeons at the same time.

If you have no idea what all the fuss is about or if you've never heard of DDLJ before (this is impossible!), watch the clip below.
