Sunny Deol's latest film Mohalla Assi is subject to a police investigation. A court in Bihar authorised police to file a report against the actor, the film's director Chandra Prakash and writer Kasinath Singh for the movie's offending content. The move comes after a complaint was lodged at the courts alleging the film trailer was laced with expletives and for offending the "the religious sentiments of Hindus". Based on Singh's novel, Kashi Ka Assi, the film takes a satirical look at the increasing commercialisation surrounding Hindu pilgrimages. Also starring Ravi Kishen and Sakshi Tanwa, Mohalla Assi is set to be released in October. – IANS
