Keira Knightley married the singer James Righton in a discreet ceremony in the southern French village of Mazan on Saturday, according to the mayor Aime Navello. Navello said the small civil ceremony was attended by "about 15 people", mostly family. The parents of the 28-year-old actress own a house in Mazan, a town of about 5,000 people near the medieval town of Avignon in Provençe. Knightley's husband is part of the band The Klaxons. – AFP
Aerosmith have cancelled next week's show in Indonesia over security concerns, a day after news surfaced of an alleged bomb plot at the Myanmar Embassy. Helmi Sugara, the event organiser's spokesman, said the American band were scheduled to perform on May 11 in Jakarta before a nearly sold-out crowd of 15,000. He said the band pulled out after Indonesia announced it had arrested two suspected militants with bombs. In a statement posted on the promoter Ismaya Live's website, Aerosmith's management apologised to fans. – AP
Will Smith says he'll probably shoot a comedy with his 15-year-old son Jaden when they team up for the third time on the big screen. Smith, who arrived in Taiwan on Thursday on a promotional tour, said it was "fantastic" to work with Jaden in their second movie together, the sci-fi flick After Earth, which will hit cinemas in June. "Entertainment is our family business. I am sure that if something comes up we'll do it again," Smith said. "He [Jaden] is looking forward to a comedy, he's been having to do lots of drama for his career. Drama has kind of been his signature and he's been asking to find a comedy." – AFP
E! Online says hackers compromised its Twitter and text-messaging accounts, sending out erroneous news alerts about Justin Bieber and Angelina Jolie. A group calling themselves the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) claimed responsibility for Saturday's hack, posting: "Exclusive: Justin Bieber to E! Online: I'm a gay" and "Angelina Jolie admits, in E!'s latest issue, that Jordan is to blame for the Syrian refugees' atrocious conditions" under the E! Online account. E! said it was working with Twitter to correct the issue and that an investigation was underway. SEA has taken credit for a string of web attacks on the BBC, Al Jazeera English, the Associated Press and the Guardian. – AP
The Chinese film director Wong Kar Wai joined one of the art world's most exclusive clubs yesterday when he was appointed a Commander of France's Order of Arts and Letters. The filmmaker was presented with the medallion, awarded to recipients of France's highest cultural honour, by the foreign minister Laurent Fabius at the opening of the French May arts festival in Hong Kong. Fabius is also due to sign a visa accord with the Hong Kong authorities intended to facilitate travel and business links between France and the territory, which is home to nearly 20,000 French expatriates. – AFP
