Rowling says Potter ending may be wrong
J K Rowling has admitted that she should have paired Hermione Granger with Harry Potter instead of Ron Weasley. The author said she chose Ron for Hermione for personal reasons that had little to do with literature, adding that she "wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfilment" and that the couple "might eventually need relationship counselling". Rowling made the revelations during an interview with the magazine Wonderland, which also featured Emma Watson, who played Hermione in the Harry Potter movies. Excerpts from the interview, which will be out on Thursday, were reported in The Sunday Times. It also quoted Watson as expressing doubts about the viability of her character's relationship with Ron. – Agencies
