Mega stars in the YouTube gaming world are coming to the UAE. The celebrity YouTubers Sidemen will be at Insomnia Dubai this October.

The team of seven British vloggers have more than 5.9 million YouTube followers on their team account and a combined 53 million followers collectively. They are known for their entertaining challenges, sketches and video-game commentaries. Their videos often reach as many as 20m views.

They are set to take part in meet and greets, as well as one-on one gaming sessions, main stage appearances, making an after-party appearance, posing for selfies with fans, giving out prizes, autographing photos and possibly even selling their exclusive Sidemen merchandise, throughout the three-day convention.

Insomnia Dubai will take place from Thursday, October 17 until Saturday, October 19 at the Meydan Grandstand Conference Hall.

Fans of e-sports can expect a range of tournaments offering cash prizes, so prepare to test your mettle as a team of four in Call of Duty or in a one-on-one fight in Tekken 7.

Organisers also promise drone racing, tournaments where exclusive merchandise can be won as top players battle it out on Over-watch, League of Legends and game of the moment Fortnite. There is also a VR gaming section, DJ sets and live performances and a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) section, where players will be able to hook up for huge LAN parties and gaming sessions.

It will also feature an expo section, where leading gaming publishers will showcase their latest releases and offer fans the opportunity to meet some of the industry’s biggest players.
