In pictures: Giant cake at Emirates Palace celebrating Abu Dhabi Summer Session

The cake features everything from a guitar to promote upcoming concerts, to a magician’s hat and deck of cards to spotlight David Blaine’s visit to a character from on stage performance of Freej Live: Abood’s Dream.

In concert news, some of the region’s biggest and brightest young reality-show talents are coming to Emirates Palace including Arab Idol star Mohammed Assaf.

Freej Live: Abood’s Dream will be launched in Arabic and English and features the UAE’s favourite home-grown grannies from the famous Freej television series created in 2006 by the Emirati animation director Mohammed Saeed Harib.

Illusionist David Blaine, who has apparently defied every law of nature in his career, is set to bring his bizarre brand of magic for his Middle East debut show in the capital next month.

The Palestinian artist and speed painter Mohammed Al Dairi is set to make an appearance at Emirates Palace.

Bollywood songstress Sunidhi Chauhan will also take the stage for her debut solo performance in the capital on August 15.

Cakes symbolize Cake Boss Buddy Valastro who will be hosting a cake-decorating contest and sharing his cake-decorating techniques in front of a sold out audience.
