Friends enjoyed a high level of popularity among the younger generation of Chinese TV viewers not only for its entertainment value, but as a window to American culture as well. -
The show starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer as six friends in New York City. -
The first episode aired on September 22, 1994 while the final episode aired on May 6, 2004. -
The show lasted 10 seasons and had 236 episodes air on television. -
