You might not give your fridge magnets much thought, but if you’re looking for an easy crafts project that the kids can get involved in, there is lots of fun to be had here. The beauty of this is that almost anything can be transformed into a fridge magnet. You can turn this into a treasure hunt – ask your children to search for things in your home that might work.
For example, if you have any old costume jewellery lying around, this can be transformed into magnets that will add some sparkle to your fridge door. Big brooches and earrings work best. All you have to do is remove the pins with a wire cutter and then glue a magnet onto the back.
Large bulldog clips or wooden pegs are a more practical choice, and can be used to display pictures, lists and other paperwork that might otherwise be misplaced.
Pom-poms and buttons are cute options, or the children may want to display some of their smaller toys and figurines on the fridge. You could also go on a hunt for smooth pebbles, which can be decorated at length to create colourful display pieces.
