Its miniature building blocks have entertained millions of children throughout the decades, however, Lego isn't just for kids. That was certainly evident this weekend, as thousands of fans flocked to the Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre, in Finland's capital of Helsinki, for a huge building event. The occasion, which took place on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 saw around 15,000 people view exhibitions and turn their hands to creating their own Lego displays. Model cities, life-size figurines and intricately crafted landscapes all formed part of the exhibition space which was, according to organisers, the biggest Lego display to take place in Finland. Scroll through the gallery above to see more from the Lego building event in Helsinki. The event also featured a 'spare parts' shop, where fans could stock up on missing pieces, and a separate area of little ones to make their own Duplo displays.
