An award-winning theatre parody that attempts to cram all seven Harry Potter books into 70 minutes of stage time will return to the UAE.

Potted Potter The Unauthorised Harry Experience has proved an international smash and critical success, earning a prized Olivier nomination.

Now, following from a well-received run in 2014, the show will return to Ductac, at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, for a three-night run, from September 15 to 17.

Potted Potter is a work from BBC children's presenters Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, who first developed the idea in 2005 as a five-minute street sketch to entertain shoppers queuing to buy first copies of the sixth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The idea was later developed into a full-length show, which has shown at London’s West End and enjoyed 30 weeks off-Broadway.

• Tickets cost from Dh150. For more information, visit www.ductac.org
