Have a budding musician in the family? Rock Academy Worldwide will be running a five day intensive course for youngsters at the English College in March.
The academy is run by Dubai-based youth worker and drummer Chris Stone and guitarist- songwriter Chris Kelly. Along with tutors and Dubai-based punk, hip-hop and classical rock musicians, the team will be taking young students through the process of finding their voice and creating bands from March 27 to 31.
Participants will be mentored by a designated tutor, receive instrument tuition, cover versions of popular songs and learn how to write original material during the course, and will have the opportunity to meet other talented young players and form bands.
At the end of workshop, students will perform at a live gig at the Hard Rock Cafe in Festival City for friends and family members.
The academy also offers Trinity College graded exams for beginners and advanced level of bass, drums, guitar, keyboards and vocals.
