Telugu movie Duvvada Jagannadham (DJ), which recently shot at locations in Abu Dhabi including Abu Dhabi Global Market, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Intercontinental Hotel, Yas Links Golf Club and Galleria Mall, has released its first trailer ahead of its actual release 'later in the summer'.
The movie, described as an action-comedy and starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hedge, tells the unusual story of love blossoming between the two lead characters in the midst of being treated for various neuro-related disorders.
It was co-written and directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Dil Raju under the well-known Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Devi Sri Prasad composed the film’s music, while Ayananka Bose took on cinematography.
The film is the latest in a string of productions to hit the capital, including Bollywood fare such as Tiger, Bang Bang, Baby and Dishoom and Hollywood giants such as FF7 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens — two of the highest grossing films of all time, as well as the Netflix satire War Machine, starring Brad Pitt.
The latest Indian import to shoot on Abu Dhabi's streets, DJ brought a crew of around 120 people to the capital, as well as about 40 dancers, and was the debut movie to shoot here from the huge Telugu film industry, or Tollywood as fans prefer to call it.
The movie finally finished it shoot back in India, at an aluminium factory Hyderabad on April 21, 2017.
