David Guetta is coming back to the UAE.
The superstar DJ is returning to Atlantis Beach on Thursday, December 18 – little more than 18 months after rocking out a sell out crowd of 12,000 fans at the same venue last May.
Guetta is also no stranger of the capital, performing at du Arena twice in 2012, once as a headliner in March and then at Creamfields in December of the same year.
A divisive musical force, many find Guetta’s simplistic productions and dancefloor-baiting choruses reductive and formulaic.
And yet he continues to ram radio waves, clocking far more hits than we can list, among them Titanium and Play Hard, while vocalists from Snoop Dogg to Rihanna queue up to work with him.
Last year’s Atlantis gig featured a surprise appearance from one such guest, Akon – let’s hope he repeats the trick again this time.
