Champ of the Camp returns with free NYUAD screenings

Following a successful world tour taking in locations including Munich, Taipei, NYC, Istanbul, Doha, Rotterdam, Mexico City and Tromso, Mahmoud Kaabour’s Champ of the Camp, which follows competitors in a singing competition on Dubai’s labour camps, is coming home with screenings in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in advance of its DVD release in the spring.

Champ touches down first of all at NYU Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat campus on January 2 with a screening and Q+A with director Kaabour starting at 6.30pm (register for free here.)

The movie will next be screening at the Sharjah biennial in March – exact date still to be confirmed, so keep checking for details.
