A new batch of guests has been announced for next year’s Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.
Carmine Gallo, author of The Storyteller's Secret: From TED Speakers to Business Legends, Why Some Ideas Catch On and Others Don't, will lead a session about the power of storytelling and her pathway to success.
Acclaimed contemporary historian Anthony Seldon will also appear. He will discuss his work as the co-founder of the Action for Happiness movement and how it trained him to look at the brighter side of life.
Syrian writer Adnan Aloda will discuss his life and work as an in-demand Arabic playwright and television screenwriter.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Sharif Maghraby, who will discuss his craft and perform songs from his fusion group, Dahab. The new additions join already announced names including best-selling British novelist Jeffrey Archer and crime author Kathy Reichs.
“Part of the success of the festival is the effort we make to be as inclusive as possible, bringing a range of personalities and topics that can be enjoyed and appreciated by all, whether they are readers or not,” says festival founder Isobel Abulhoul.
“With this year’s fascinating array of writers, thinkers, and commentators, and topics that are entertaining, inspiring and thought provoking, the 2017 programme most definitely will have something for everyone.”
The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature will run from March 5 to 7 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Visit www.emirateslitfest.com
