Bollywood star Akshay Kumar arrives in Abu Dhabi for film shoot

Bollywood action star and martial artist Akshay Kumar has arrived in the UAE to shoot his latest movie, Baby. an action thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey.

The superstar's management has confirmed his arrival, while Kumar himself posted on Twitter: "Flew 2 Abu Dhabi after my Son's 12th Birthday dinner! This chopper is now takin me in2 the depths of the desert for #Baby ;)"

Kumar has appeared in almost 150 Hindi films and is well known for performing his own stunts. He has even been nicknamed in some circles as “The Indian Jackie Chan”.

Kumar, his agents, and the movie’s local production company twofour54 all remain tight-lipped about the chosen locations for the film shoot. An application for shooting at Al Ain airport has allegedly been approved, while a further application for Abu Dhabi airport was pending at the time of writing.

The actor’s management claims he’ll be shooting in the UAE for five days. Some scenes have already been filmed in Nepal and Turkey.

Baby also stars the actress Taapsee Pannu (Chashme Baddoor, 2014) and is due out on January 22.
