One-man show about Laurel and Hardy is coming to Dubai

Fans of the legendary comedy double-act Laurel and Hardy will be delighted to hear that a one-man show about the duo is coming to Dubai in June.

And This is My Friend Mr Laurel arrives at Warehouse Four on June 18, following critically-acclaimed sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014, 2015 and 2018.

Written by Gail Louw and Jeffrey Holland (who also performs the show), And This is My Friend Mr Laurel takes place in 1956 in the bedroom of a dying Oliver Hardy, who is being visited by his great friend Stan Laurel. Hardy has suffered a stroke and is unable to speak, so Laurel reminisces about the highs and lows of their long comedy career.

Holland, best known as Hi-de-Hi!'s Spike Dixon, brings real pathos to the role in this poignant tale of fame, laughs and, most importantly, a great friendship.
