One of the world’s biggest electronic dance music festivals is coming to Abu Dhabi. Well, sort of - it will be live streamed at an event here. Unite with Tomorrowland will return to the UAE on July 28, but while last year the party was held in Dubai, this year it will be in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE event will allow concert-goers to simultaneously rave along with live broadcasts synced with other countries. Along with Abu Dhabi, this year's Unite with Tomorrowland will also include Italy, Malta, Spain, Taiwan, Mexico and Lebanon.
Not too much else is known yet because the Abu Dhabi venue and the festival's headliners haven’t been announced, but, because the weather in July tends to be scorching, it is likely that they will seek out an indoor venue in Abu Dhabi. The theme of this year's Tomorrowland is The Story of Planaxis.
How to get tickets
Pre-registration is now open on tomorrowland.com for those interested in getting a ticket to the event. Concert-goers must be 21 years or older.
Only those who pre-register are able to join the 48-hour pre-sale, which will be held between Tuesday, February 27 at noon until Thursday, March 1 at noon.
What is Tomorrowland?
The popular music festival takes place every year in Boom, Belgium. Starting in 2005, the event has grown over the years and has featured EDM’s top superstar DJs, such as Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Zedd, Armin van Burren, Tiesto, and more.
Tickets and packages for the annual event tend to sell out fast. Last year’s Tomorrowland sold more than 400,000 tickets over the course of two weekends.

Last year’s event saw DJ Martin Solveig, Poland’s Tom Swoon and Belgium’s Robert Falcon perform in Dubai while the heavy-hitters including Armin van Buuren and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike performed live on stage in Belgium.
The concert saw more than 230,000 festival-goers connect from all around the globe.

From exhibitions to the battlefield
In 2016, the Shaded Dome was awarded with the 'De Vernufteling' people's choice award, an annual prize by the Dutch Association of Consulting Engineers and the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers for the most innovative project by a Dutch engineering firm.

- Jebel Akhdar is a two-hour drive from Muscat airport or a six-hour drive from Dubai. It’s impossible to visit by car unless you have a 4x4. Phone ahead to the hotel to arrange a transfer.
