Drum and bass band Rudimental and electronic music group 808 State will both fly in from the UK to play headline sets at April's Groove on the Grass, to close out the season before the festival hibernates for the summer.

The gig takes place at Emirates Golf Club on Friday, April 19, rounding out a successful run of events featuring British artists, including electronic music pioneers Underworld in February.

Rudimental, perhaps best known for the 2013 hit Waiting All Night, will perform a set of electronic tunes. It's not the first time they've performed in the UAE, either. In 2016, the Feel the Love singers took to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre stage. They also rung in the 2019 New Year at Zero Gravity.

808 state, a group that is credited with defining the UK's acid house and techno scene back in the '80s, will provide a touch of nostalgia for older ravers.

Also on the bill is American DJ Bill Patrick, as well as local talent such as Hollaphonic, record store owner Shadi Megallaa and sets by Maat and Stu Todd.

The announcement comes after other exciting concerts were revealed, including British pop star James Arthur and American pop-rockers Maroon 5.

The event will take place from 5pm to 3am, with tickets starting from Dh165. For more information, visit www.platinumlist.net.
