No Gangnam Style's Psy to headline in Dubai

Psy will not headline Dubai's My Music X festival after all, according to promoters.

In a statement released today, My Music X founding partner Darrell Bell confirmed the South Korean rapper's no-show, explaining it was due to "circumstances beyond its control."

However, he did promise that replacements will be announced soon.

"We are confident that the first My Music X will still offer the public and our partners an outstanding musical experience of a kind they have never experienced here in Dubai or the region before," he said.

"The main artists, events, workshops, club nights and DJs My Music X has planned for Dubai are right on schedule and we will announce details of new and additional talent in the days ahead."

Psy threw the festival into turmoil after taking to Twitter last Thursday to deny his announced appearance.

"To fans in Dubai there is some wrong information being reported," he said.

"I will NOT be in Dubai March 28 but look foward to coming soon."

Other acts scheduled to appear on the bill include dance-hall rapper Sean Paul, rapper and actress Eve in addition to dance DJs David Morales and Sander Kleinberg.
