Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena is off to a winning start as its first concert by Maroon 5 has already officially sold out.
Tour promoters Done Events announced that all 17,000 tickets for the June 14 gig have gone and, at present, no new tickets can be purchased online or from the City Walk site.
The news is further confirmation of the need for not only such a venue, but that the UAE music lovers are also hungry for concerts during the summer, a time where traditionally such events are dialled down.
Maroon 5’s return to the UAE will be the last date of their European tour that saw them perform in Denmark, Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, Spain and France.
The band, led by frontman and The Voice mentor Adam Levine, is responsible for such hits like Sugar, She Will Be Loved and This Love. The band performed at the NFL Super Bowl Halftime show in February alongside hip-hop artists Travis Scott (who will perform as part of the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix on November 29) and Big Boi.

The venue is steadily gaining a buzz around the country due to the number of events taking place. They include the following:
June 6: Russell Peters
The Coca-Cola Arena's first official event will be a comedy performance by Canadian funnyman Russell Peters. Known for his close-to-the-bone, observational-style comedy that centres on highlighting racial stereotypes, Peters has been named one of Rolling Stone's 50 Best Comics of All Time.
