Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan surprised fans last night in London's Hyde Park when they took to the stage to perform their famous duet Especially for You. Minogue was headlining the BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park show when she began singing the 1989 duet.
Halfway through the song, she paused and said, "I need a dance partner". Donovan then came on to the stage and twirled Kylie around.
It seems like Donovan himself wasn't initially expecting to go up on stage. "I literally turned up on my bike to support my friend... and the next think you know I'm onstage... in front of 70,000 people," he tweeted.
I literally turned up on my bike to support my friend @kylieminogue and next thing you know I’m onstage @BBCRadio2 Hyde Park in front of 70,000 people recreating those dance moves Especially For You 1988 .. mad! Loved every second. Thank you for all your support. Memories = magic https://t.co/CvNhO36NMN

Minogue performed a range of hits and went deep into her back catalogue to perform other '80s hits such as Locomotion and I Should Be So Lucky. Donovon wasn't the only throwback star to show up. Rick Astley also appeared on stage to sing Never Gonna Give You Up with the singer.
Among other acts to perform were Lenny Kravitz, Manic Street Preachers and Boyzone.
