Korean music fans, mark your calendars. The Korean Culture Centre in Abu Dhabi is hosting a free Korean musical showcase at the National Theatre on March 26 at 6pm.
Open to the public but with an RSVP required, fans can see South Korean ethnic fusion band Second Moon along with vocalist Yul-hee Kim, singer Lyn and K-pop girl band Apink.
Second Moon has performed at several folk music festivals around the world. They are known for creating music for popular K-drama shows such as Princess Hours (2006), Love in the Moonlight (2016) and The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016).
Lyn is a singer who has released 10 albums. She been featured in the soundtracks of several Korean dramas and is known for her hit songs Have You Ever Have a Broken Heart?, Can U See The Bright and The Pride of the Morning.
Her song My Destiny (watch below) from the K-drama My Love from the Star won her a Best Original Soundtrack award at the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2014 - giving her the distinction of being the first artist to receive the award.
Apink is a K-pop girl band that formed in 2011 with their debut track I Don't Know. Other hit songs on their discography include My My, Mr Chu and Nonono (watch below).
The group has released six Korean mini-albums, three full studio albums in Korea and three full studio albums in Japan.
The musical event comes ahead of the big K-pop concert SMTown Live Dubai, which will take place at the Autism Rocks Arena and feature some of Korea's biggest pop stars.

Why are asylum seekers being housed in hotels?
The number of asylum applications in the UK has reached a new record high, driven by those illegally entering the country in small boats crossing the English Channel.
A total of 111,084 people applied for asylum in the UK in the year to June 2025, the highest number for any 12-month period since current records began in 2001.
Asylum seekers and their families can be housed in temporary accommodation while their claim is assessed.
The Home Office provides the accommodation, meaning asylum seekers cannot choose where they live.
When there is not enough housing, the Home Office can move people to hotels or large sites like former military bases.
