Kesha is set to make her long awaited appearance as part of next year’s Virgin Radio Redfest DXB.

The US pop star will headline the second day of the festival on Friday February 9 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

Kesha's appearance is part of her welcome return to the pop landscape. The 30-year-old pop star, known for the hits Tik Tok and Timber, recently emerged from one of the most acrimonious legal battles in the music industry of recent years, in which she accused former mentor and producer Dr Luke of allegations ranging from emotional abuse to scuppering the release of new tracks.

Kesha was previously slated to headline Redfest DXB in 2014 before cancelling on doctors' orders as she continued treatment for an eating disorder. Back with this year's critically lauded third album Rainbow, home to the Grammy nominated ballad Praying, Kesha should hit the Dubai stage healthy and with her career rejuvenated.

She will be joined by powerful vocalist Bebe Rexha, dance music DJ Marshmello, hip-hop spinner Dany Neville and UK RnB crooner Craig David; the latter  will bring his successful hybrid performance and DJ show TS5 to Redfest DXB.

The latest announcement comes on the back of yesterday’s news that UK dance music duo Chainsmokers will headline the festival's opening day on February 8, which will also feature performances by hip-hop artist Russ, pop singer Kelli-Leigh, and French-Lebanese singer Anthony Touma.

Tickets for the festival go on sale from December 7 starting from Dh395. For more information, visit www.redfestdxb.com
