Abu Dhabi Showdown Week announced its full list of artists to perform in the capital as part of the anticipated UFC 242 event.

Fresh from releasing their official anthem for Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, Kuwaiti singer Daffy and Bahraini rapper Flipperaci have been announced as the supporting acts for Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin's concert on Thursday, September 4.

The capital’s night spots are also getting in on the music action with gigs of their own.

On Wednesday, September 4, not long after the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert at The Arena, Mad on Yas Island will host a performance by Jess Glynne. The UK soul singer is behind the hooks of chart toppers My Love by Route 94 and Clean Bandit's Rather Be.

The following night, the action will move to Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, where Dubai night spot Drai's will have a pop-up pool party with the UK's Rudimental performing a DJ set.

Friday, September 6 will see Iris Beach club welcome the legendary US house DJ Erick Morillo and British electronic duo Sigma, both will take on the decks to perform separate sets.

For those looking for urban music that night, Mad at Yas Island will host the return of UAE favourite Tinie Tempah. The UK rapper, responsible for the hits Pass Out and Written in the Stars, will be backed DJ Charlsey.

Abu Dhabi Showdown Week will conclude with a massive after party on Saturday, September 7, at the same venue with 2 Chainz headlining.

Fans of the US rapper should particularly welcome his return to the UAE as 2 Chainz recently released his acclaimed fifth album Rap or Go to the League.

“The world-class calibre of artists performing during this inaugural edition is guaranteed to thrill both residents and visitors, and music and MMA fans,” said Ali Hassan Al Shaiba Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) Abu Dhabi.
