English heavy metal group Iron Maiden have been at it since 1975, and on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, the band will bring their Legacy of the Beast tour to Dubai.

The gig will be at the Coca-Cola Arena in City Walk, with tickets going on sale on Thursday, November 14.

The Legacy of the Beast tour is being widely dubbed as the most extravagant and crowd-pleasing set the band has put together to date. The stage show for the tour takes fans through different visual 'worlds' to match the biggest hits in their back catalogue. The song list includes their top tunes Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Trooper, Fear of the Dark and The Number of the Beast, as well as tracks fans won't have heard live for years, such as Sign of the Cross and Flight of Icarus.

The band is made up of Steve Harris (bassist, founding member and primary songwriter), Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Nicko McBrain and Janick Gers. They are widely considered one of the globe's most successful heavy metal bands, and have played more than 2,000 live shows in their more than 40-year run.

They made their debut performance in the UAE in 2007 for the Dubai Desert Rock Festival, and then headlined their own show in the emirate (which was sold out) in 2009.

The band, who have Brit, Grammy and Ivor Novello awards to their name, first kicked off Legacy of the Beast in May 2018, a series of performances described as a "history/hits tour". The tour has so far travelled around Europe, North and South America, with the just-announced 2020 dates taking the rockers to Australia and New Zealand, as well as the UAE.
