Dubai Opera's Music in the Studio announces second programme



Music in the Studio, a monthly series of chamber-music recitals starring banner names, has announced it's programme for the second half of 2018.

Curated by internationally renowned pianist Amira Fouad, Music in the Studio is set in Dubai Opera’s acoustically flawless studio, allowing for a more atmospheric and unmissable experience between the musicians and their audiences.

The programme is as follows:

September 26

Australian-Egyptian composer Joseph Tawadros is an award-winning oud player. His music ranges from classical to contemporary and presents a mix of world music, Middle Eastern music, jazz, and classical.

October 17

American violinist Odin Rathnam will perform alongside internationally renowned pianist Amira Fouad (who is also Music in the Studio's curator). They will play music by Debussy, Ysaye and Strauss.

November 21

Ramzi Yassa (Piano)

Award-winning concert pianist Ramzi Yassa will be performing a romantic programme of solo piano works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin and Franz Liszt at Music in the Studio.

December 5

Classically trained soprano Zeina Barhoum is set to perform a spectacular programme including songs from popular operas including La Boheme, Turandot and Carmen.

With one show scheduled each month, those looking to go to all four performances can purchase a special season pass for Dh450. Independent tickets are priced at only Dh150 each and tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 11 July at 4pm.
