Emirati and Arab pop stars will celebrate National Day with a string of concerts in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
When it comes to the capital, Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will take the stage at du Forum on Yas Island on Saturday.
The 34-year-old is one of the busiest entertainers in the industry. Her television work includes judging on Arab Idol and working a mentor on The Voice. On the recording front, she released her ninth album Hassa Beek in April, which topped the charts in the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Also performing on Saturday is much-loved Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi, who this week released patriotic ode Ahl Al Azem. He will lead an all-star Emirati bill at Riverland, in Dubai Parks and Resorts that also includes Balqees and Fayez Al Saeed. Friday night will see Emirati singer Shamma Hamdan perform at Dubai's City Centre Mirdif, while Mohammed Al Shehhi will take the stage at City Walk at 8pm. At the same time, YouTube star turned music artist Fouad Abdul Wahid will be at Dragon Mart to sing his hits Awhamni Bahobah and Zaffa Sana'ani.
