Alicia Keys is set to headline next year’s Dubai Jazz Festival. The RnB singer will close the third and final night of the event on February 22 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

The announcement finalises a formidable, yet not-so-jazzy, line up of artists for the festival, which includes an opening night concert by Northern Ireland rockers Snow Patrol on February 20, followed the next night by UK funk group Jamiroquai (who are particularly great live).

Those considering attending Key’s concert should snap up tickets quickly, as her 2013 concert at the same venue was a near sell-out.

Where that show had her promoting her fifth album Girl on Fire, Key's new Dubai date is set to be a greatest hits affair, because the singer has yet to announce a new album. Not that fans will mind this, with hits like Fallin', No One and Girl on Fire, not to mention her skills behind the keyboard and moving voice, Keys will end the festival on a great note. Key's Dubai date marks a quick return to the region after a holiday with her family in Egypt in September.

Supporting acts for each of the nights will be announced soon. Next year’s Dubai Jazz Festival will be run under new management. Dubai-based Done Events (which is part of Arab Media Group and are behind RedFestDxB and the Blended festival), acquired the event from previous owners Chillout Productions, who started the festival in 2003.

Here's a taste of what to expect from the singer live:
