Kevin Spacey's latest offering to the world of film has crashed and burned. Billionaire Boys Club only opened in ten cinemas across the US on Friday and according to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie only earnt $126 dollars (Dh463) for the day.
Starring Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, Emma Roberts, Jeremy Irvine, Cary Elwes, Judd Nelson and Billie Lourd the film tells the story of a club of Los Angeles investment scammers who run a Ponzi scheme.
It was shot in 2015, before Spacey was accused last autumn of sexual assault and inappropriate behaviour by people in Europe and America.
"We don't condone sexual harassment on any level and we fully support victims of it," the film distributor said in a statement at the time. "At the same time, this is neither an easy nor insensitive decision to release this film in theatres, but we believe in giving the cast, as well as hundreds of crew members who worked hard on the film, the chance to see their final product reach audiences."
