Indian election: Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and more turn out to vote

The biggest names in Bollywood turned out for the Indian elections' fourth phase in Mumbai on April 29.

From Priyanka Chopra to Shah Rukh Khan, famous faces in the industry turned out to vote in India's general parliamentary election, showing off their inked fingers and encouraging fans to do the same on social media.

"This is the moment that matters.... Every vote is a voice that counts," captioned her photo, showing off the ink stain that proves she had turned out to the polling booth.

Chopra was not the only star to take to Instagram to encourage fans to vote.

Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan all made it clear they had done their patriotic part.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai arrived at the polling station with husband, Abhishek Bachchan, and in-laws, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.

Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to tell his and Rai's fans that they should "go vote" as well.

Four of the seven phases in the Indian election have now taken place. Voting began on Thursday, April 11 and the next election date is set to take place on Monday, May 6. Voting will conclude on Sunday, May 19. The results of the election are expected to be declared on Thursday, May 23.
