It's the wedding India has been waiting for. Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have tied the knot at a resort in Tuscany, Italy, on December 11.
The couple, who began dating in 2013, met after filming a shampoo advertisement together. On their social media accounts, they both posted a message saying:
The private ceremony was attended by close friends and family and performed as per Hindu rituals. Sabyasachi Mukherjee designed the wedding ensemble for both the bride and the groom.
The couple, dubbed 'Virushka' by local media and fans alike, have generated the same sort of excitement in India that Britain's Prince Harry and fiancée Meghan Markle have for the West.
