Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan celebrates his 77th birthday today, so it seemed like a perfect moment to look back on a formidable career in film.

Bachchan first appeared on screen all the way back in 1969 when he played Anwar Ali in Saat Hindustani. He has since starred in dozens of films and won four National Film Awards for Best Actor.
