Hollywood's biggest names have jetted into London, ahead of the 73rd British Academy Film Awards. The ceremony, which is due to take place tonight on Sunday, February 2, will recognise film and television achievements from the last 12 months.

Ahead of the ceremony, Bafta held a Nominees Party at the British capital's Kensington Palace. Everyone from Joker actor, Joaquin Phoenix, to Marriage Story's Laura Dern were in attendance.

The event took place at Kensington Palace, which is the London residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William has been president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since February 2010, and 2020 marks the sixth year in a row that guests have been welcomed to a cocktail party in the upstairs rooms of the royal residence. It is expected that the royals will attend the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall tonight.

The Nominees' Party wasn't the only pre-Bafta event to take place last night. When the Kensington Palace bash wrapped, stars made their ways to the Chanel and Charles Finch pre-Bafta party or the Focus/Universal at popular celebrity haunt the Chiltern Firehouse.
