Kate Moss is set to testify at the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial on Wednesday, after the Aquaman actress talked about the model during her testimony.
Since Heard mentioned Moss during her questioning on May 5, rumours have been rife that the British supermodel would be called as a witness for Depp, with his team hoping she will rebut Heard’s allegations.
Testifying that she hit Depp during a fight in early 2015, Heard went on to say she did so because she feared the actor would throw her sister Whitney Henriquez, who was in the house at the time, down the stairs.
“I don’t hesitate, don’t wait. I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs, and I swung at him,” Heard told the court, referencing a rumour she said she heard about an altercation between Depp and Moss.
During cross-examination on May 17, Depp’s lawyer asked Heard: “You thought he was going to throw your sister down the stairs like he had thrown Kate Moss down the stairs, right?” The actress replied: “I’ve heard a rumour, big rumour, about that.”
Heard previously mentioned Moss during Depp’s UK defamation trial against News Group Newspapers, owner of UK newspaper The Sun.

When did Johnny Depp and Kate Moss first meet?
The supermodel and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor were one of the most famous celebrity couples of the 1990s. The pair met at New York’s Cafe Tabac in 1994 when Depp was aged 31 and Moss was 20. The previous year, Depp had broken up with his fiancee, actress Winona Ryder, whom he dated from 1989 to 1993.
Vanity Fair columnist George Wayne has said he is the person who introduced Moss and Depp.
“Johnny was in the back having dinner and Kate walked in with Naomi [Campbell] and The GW grabbed her and made the introduction!” Wayne wrote on Instagram, referring to himself in the third person. “I had no idea that they would then become the IT couple for seasons to come, destroying hotel rooms across the globe during their still unforgettable union!”
Moss later told People of their instant connection: “I knew from the first moment we talked that we were going to be together.”

The pair dated from 1994 to 1997. They were famous for jetting around the world and attending celebrity parties and premieres together.
What was their relationship like?
During their relationship, Moss and Depp’s jet-set lifestyle and hard partying made plenty of headlines.
In September 1994 Depp was arrested for criminal mischief after trashing his room at The Mark Hotel in Manhattan after an argument with Moss.
Police who attended the scene reported that Moss was in the room, and that they found Depp “in a state of possible intoxication”.
A judge later dismissed the charges, and the actor paid $9,767 to the hotel in damages.
For Moss’s 21st birthday in 1996, the Donnie Brasco star threw her a party at the notorious Hollywood club the Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard, which he owned at the time.
Depp performed onstage alongside INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, but the music was cut short when Neighbours actor Jason Donovan overdosed and collapsed at the party.
Donovan later wrote in his 2007 memoir, Between the Lines: My Story Uncut, that after he was rushed to hospital, he later apologised to Depp who told him: “That’s cool, don't worry. We're just pleased that you are OK. Now take some advice from me, go to your room, get some sleep and for God's sake take it easy in future.”
When did Johnny Depp and Kate Moss break up?
The pair split in 1997. The following year, Depp told Hello!: “I have been so stupid because we had so much going for our relationship. I’m the one who has to take responsibility for what happened.
“I was difficult to get on with, I let my work get in the way and I didn’t give her the attention I should have done … I have never got that emotional over a woman before.
“The whole thing was crazy because I should never have got so worked up over what people had to say about my work. Sure, I should care about my movies, but when I get home I should try to leave that stuff behind. I couldn't do that and I was horrific to live with. Trust me, I'm a total moron at times.”
Did Moss and Depp get back together?
The pair sparked rumours of a reconciliation after they were spotted together at the Cannes Film Festival in 1998. Earlier that year, it had been reported they had checked into The Portobello Hotel in London’s Notting Hill and ordered 36 bottles of champagne with which to fill the bathtub.
Her spokesperson later told The Independent: “It was not her. It was not Kate, it’s not her style. She doesn’t use the hotel any more.”
In 2012 Moss spoke about their relationship and break-up to Vanity Fair.
“There’s nobody that’s ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit,” Moss said. “Like if I said, ‘What do I do?,’ he’d tell me. And that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost the gauge of somebody I could trust. Nightmare. Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears!”
